Here, we tell you the story of Kathy – and how, after several years of challenging complications, LifeCycle was able to save her from eviction and bring her life back on track.
Kathy, at age 69, reached out to LifeCycle Transitions for assistance after her house fell into disrepair. Kathy gave back to her local community working long hours as a nurse her whole life until devastating surgery complications left Kathy disabled. Unfortunately, this left her with severe mobility issues, and it became near impossible to keep on top of household maintenance. This, coupled with financial complications meant that she did not have either the financial or physical resources to maintain her home and it became severely cluttered.
Years before this, Kathy began fostering pets and invested most of her time in training and caring for them. Keeping the pets also created a strain on her finances, which were beginning to cause a strain on her physical and mental well-being. Despite having a view to eventually declutter her home, she was unable to fulfill this since the pets occupied so much of her time. As the months went on the financial pressure began to mount, as did the clutter in her home and eventually Kathy began to stress about the possibility of being evicted from her home.
After a long struggle, Kathy sought after LifeCycle transitions. Brandon Bronaugh and his expert team were able to provide her with support and started brainstorming solutions for her problems. To bring Kathy’s life back on track, and eventually rehome her, the team conducted a full plan to lay out what would be the best option for Kathy. With property rehabilitation, Brandon and his team would professionally remodel Kathy’s home so that she could sell it at market value.
